Nkongho’s experience extends to a variety of asset classes and sectors, including maritime, rail, aviation and energy. He has advised clients on many innovative and highly structured financings, in both privately placed and capital markets transactions.
In representing clients, he has combined financing technologies utilized in different sectors for application in the financing of new asset classes, and has helped clients to access hitherto untapped capital sources. He has also guided clients through complex restructurings, corporate combinations and M&A transactions.
Nkongho’s clients benefit from his breadth of experience and the understanding that comes from having seen finance transactions through all stages of development, execution and distress, from initial placement of debt and equity financing to restructurings and workouts.
He represents clients on all sides of financial transactions - lessee/borrowers, institutional equity investors, institutional lenders and underwriters, in transactions with US, European and Asian creditors, investors and lenders. He has extensive experience in the representation of shipping companies, underwriters and private equity/hedge funds in international maritime finance and M&A-related transactions, underwriters, borrowers and other parties in domestic US energy-related financings, and various European energy companies in a broad range of financing, restructuring and M&A-related matters.
Nkongho also advises clients on a wide array of general corporate and securities-related matters.
As Global Head of Asset Finance at Kouengoua & Mbattang, Nkongho has led a broad-based diversification effort, which has resulted in the Firm’s Asset Finance group assuming a prominent role across a broad range of asset classes and industrial sectors.
